What's Going On
Original Wildfire Reunion Coming In 2019 !
Very proud to be part of a reunion of the original formation of Wildfire. This will take place on June 12, 2019 at The Bill Monroe Music Park in Beanblossom, IN. Original members will be Phil Leadbetter, Robert Hale, Darrell Webb, Curt Chapman and Barry Crabtree. The last time this band played with all original members was in 2006. Hoping to do more shows with this band, and possibly another recording. Make plans to come and see us !

Sure had a great time this year teaching Dobro class at Kamp Kaufman during Bluegrass Week. Looking forward to being there again in 2019 !
Camp Germany 2018
I was very pleased to teach again this year at Bluegrass Camp Germany just outside of Munich, Germany in the Bavarian town of Fischbachau. Always great to be there will all my European friends!

The New Recording King What's Going On
Well, got a lot of things going on to update you on. First off, I finally got my hip replacement on March 6th 2018. I am already doing better, and having less pain. I am working to get everything together to start on the first "All-Stars Of Bluegrass" CD which should debut a couple of cuts this Summer on the Pinecastle label. I was able to locate and purchase my original Wolfe #17 Resontaor guitar. I sold this guitar around 1994 when I got my deal with Rich & Tayloy. This guitar had been gone nearly 25 years. The last time I saw it was in Seattle, WA several years back. I recently found it on Ebay, and now in California. I was able to purchase it, and now it is back home !! We are getting alot closer on The Recording King Resonator Guitar. Hopefully, it will be out by the Summer NAMM show this year in Nashville. And the last really great thing.....as of the last part of February, my cancer us still in remission !! Praise the Lord !!
The Allstars Of Bluegrass Coming To Joe Val On Saturday 2/17
Looking forward to being at The Joe Val BG Festival with The Allstars Of Bluegrass. Band for that show will feature Claire Lynch, Steve Gulley, Alan Bibey, Jason Burleson and Me. We will be doing one set there. Hope you will make plans to attend this great festival.

The "All-Stars Of Bluegrass" appeared at The WDVX radio 20 Year Anniversary Concert at The Bijou Theater in Knoxville, TN on Friday, November 17th. Band featured: Phil Leadbetter, Steve Gulley, Alan Bibey, Claire Lynch, Paul Brewster, Adam Haynes, Kenny and Amanda Smith, Missy Raines and Jason Burleson. The band played to a sold out crowd.
